We’re super happy to start the collaboration with Berlin based duo @cyrkmusic

CYRK has been crossing the world with their Detroit-influenced blend of techno-acid-electro, as well as their love for all things Italo. 2023 started with an EP on London based Cultivated Electronics and this is just a prelude to many more releases this year. Next up is an EP on Cormac’s Polari stamp, release June. Mid June, the footage of their live performance at ‘TXL Berlin recordings” by ARTE Concert will be published.

At the forefront of the new acid scene, AZO is infusing this iconic sound with techno and rave energy inherited from the UK hardcore scene and the Detroit techno era.

"Aquatrip (under the bridge)" is a fast paced track with percussive rhythms, a psychedelic 303 and concrete wall reverb. The track is dedicated to the rave culture in which Azo debuted while being surrounded by friends fighting to preserve the acid culture, underground music, and freedom to party. It was during a mixing session at GreenHouse studio that the sound engineer (Jean Vanesse) removed all the synths from the original and stated: "in fact, we just need acid & drums”.

Deetron releases ’Tribe One’ through @ilian_tape . It was the return to an old project of the Swiss mainstay: Soulmate. The EP, supported by artists such as Surgeon - James Ruskin - Steffi - ROD - AliA - …, is stuffed with Latin and African percussion.

We are super happy that the E314.family was there. @zouzibaby opened at Gare Central, @sara__dziri and @cheb.runner made the party at Not Your Techno and to annual tradition, @faislebeau and @sixsixsixties teamed up again for the party of the year at SPEK x @gayhaze.brussels.

A musical hurricane rooted in Moroccan soil and exploring different musical landscapes. Cheb Runner represents a new sound of in-betweenness, nurtured by different worlds while running back and forth in time. As producer, composer, and DJ, he is merging traditional and contemporary electronic music, moving from Moroccan chaabi over spiritual sounds to eclectic disco, deep techno, and Dutch gabber.

Cheb Runner is resident at Ghana's @orokoradio , a familiar face at Brussels finest @kiosk.radio , part of the (A)WAKE collective Rotterdam and recently the @notyourtechno family.

Passionately spreading the real house sound for longer than anyone can remember, @kong.djdj is one of the most industrious tastemakers of Belgium’s scene. His carefully prepared DJ performances are vinyl driven and express a profound love for house music in a pure and raw form, staying true to the originators of the craft. Kong’s residency at Brussels paramount underground club @c12_bxl has shown him thoroughly working the floor on any possible moment of the night. And he is affiliated to @kiosk.radio, where he holds a monthly residency.

Kong DJ launched @hi_scores__ in 2022, a label meant to push forward both new talents and established names, all united by a devoted and idiosyncratic interpretation of electronic dance music. Hi Scores is the follow-up to Ensemble, the label and club nights Kong ran together with Gratts from 2013 to 2021, with music released on vinyl by Xosar, Aksak Maboul, Krikor, Zazou/Bikaye, San Soda and many more.

As an avid writer Kong has been unearthing many stories about the rich Belgian electronic music and vinyl culture scene. In 2014 he published the book ‘The Vinyl Frontier’ in collaboration with Red Bull Belgium, showing the private collections of famous Belgian diggers. In 2018 he set up ‘Brusseleir Digger’, an exhibition in ING Art Center Brussels during Listen Festival. He also founded the content platform ‘Our Scene’ for Listen, offering a voice to a bunch of Belgian exciting tastemakers. In 2021 he created his own publishing house ‘Afterclub’ to present ‘Missing The Club’, a new book written in the midst of the Covid pandemic. More exciting projects are expected soon.
