CYRK, a live act duo born in the studio as result of the vision of two Berlin-based producers: Sammy Goossens and Pascal Hetzel.
They have been crossing the world with their Detroit-influenced blend of techno, acid and electro, as well as their love for all things italo. One can state CYRK is where Detroit meets Rimini meets The Haque. From their extensive hardware set-up, they fuse eyes-down grooves with propulsive basslines and restrained melodic atmospheres.
Their studio work has led to acclaimed releases on Running Back, Rawax, Burial Soil, Vakant, Avoidant, Dred, Lone Romantic, International Chrome, Discos Atonicos and their own Time Zero label.
September 2021: CYRK releases their debut album “Escaping Earth” on Muallem’s (of-Blitz-club-fame) label Childhood.
June 2022: “Freundschaft”, a collaborative album featuring Steffi, Jensen Interceptor, Anthony Rother, Nitefleit, Alienata, Ravn Jonasson, JakoJako, David Carretta is released. Expect the follow-up, with an equally impressive list of be-friended artists, in the shops end 2023.
So far 2023 has seen the release of “WOOF” on Cormac’s Polari, 4-track EP on Cultivated Electronics, contribution to Berlin Undercover compilation (Sound Of Berlin), electronica/ambient album, and several collaborations!
