CYRK, a duo born in the studio as result of a like-minded vision.
Aside of their love for each other, Sammy Goossens and Pascal Hetzel share a deep passion for new beat, smoke machines, strobe-lights, poppers and sweat. They have been crossing the world with their Detroit-influenced blend of techno, acid and electro, as well as their love for all things italo. One can state CYRK is where Detroit meets Rimini meets The Haque.
With their hardware live set, they fuse eyes-down grooves with propulsive basslines and restrained melodic atmospheres. This live performance is high on energy!
Behind the DJ-booth, the duo stands for playful sets; taking you from the darkest corners to unfelt cheerful heights.
Being skilful experienced producers, CYRK’s music led to releases on acclaimed labels such as Running Back, Polari, Burial Soil, Vakant, Time Zero, … Most recently CYRK released two EP’s on Cormac’s Polari and have an EP scheduled for spring 2024 on DISCHII, while also contributing to a few Various Artists for ex Freeride Millennium presents Queer Based / Lifesaver 5 Compilation – Famous when Dead Part II – 25 Years of Robert Johnson / …
You can find the duo also bimonthly on Refuge Worldwide FM where they run “Influences & Technology”; a show where they discuss genres, artists, labels and technology that influenced their musical identity.
